Wardrobe basics every woman should have?

Ah yes, footwear!

- I'd add a pair of neutral pumps or slingbacks which coordinate with many different things for spring and summer.

- At least one formal dress or gown which is always ready just in case (my personal favorite thing to buy). There's an event coming up in a few weeks I'm supposed to attend and when I asked my husband what the dress code was today, he said, very quickly: "Formal ... but you do not need a new dress!"

I recently bought a black shell and oatmeal-colored one in the same style (cashmere blends, oh-so-comfortable), and i thought i could wear them every day of the week. Makes me excited to get dressed in the morning if it's one of them!

I also have a pair of brown boots (tall) with a slight heel that I like to wear with skirts.
